Thanks guy's for the responses. It's in a bare 20gal by itself. I've introduced some driftwood and thinking about some dither fish to make it feel more comfortable. I'll raise the temp and try some more meaty fair. Will let you know how it goes Also considering treating for gill flukes with a formal...

Synodontis greshoffi

Does any one have a suggestion for a good treatment for white spots on body which are very local only occuring on the supraoccipital process. Probably bacterial or fungus oriented.

I have recently stumbled upon a Pseudacanthicus spinosus at a lfs and at such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. But now that I've got the little fella (4") home and in 'Q' it hasn't eatin much that I can detect: I tried zuchinni, algea wafers, 'bloodworms'. It's been about a week and I'm start...

syno soloni

Hello Chrisicthys,
can you explain on what you mean by "angelicus compatible"? Does that mean the solonis stay out of the way of the angelicus without too much stress or do they stand their ground, so to speak? Whats their behavior?

Just wondering as a future angelicus owner. :)

Brian,I am not familiar with S. ocellifer but I have found with other synos such as S. nigriventris and S. eupterus, that although they 'scrap'and chase one another they rarely do serious damage to one another. Especially as long as they all have their own hiding spots. I have also seen a 200gal. ta...

sick S. eupterus

Sounds like you love your fish so heres my 2 cents. It looks like your fish has Hexamita but I'm not sure. S. eupterus is found in east African river environments. I would say 1) lower its ph to the 6-7's range,2) darken its tank with more driftwood and natural river gravel, not the colored stuff whi...
