Re: What's your fish called and why?

I enjoy this thread idea when it comes up - everyone needs a chuckle and pet names seem to be a small lens into the soul of the keeper. :-O OMG, Larry has no soul! I wondered why he seems to be able to breed anything and everything. :)) Kidding, Larry :d I had Frank the Syno because he turned out to...

Hello from up the 401, No such thing as a stupid question when it's about your fish. Most people here have answered my, um,pathetic, questions here with grace and courtesy so don't hesitate to ask your questions :d If we already knew all there is to know we would just bore ourselves to death... Re: Dealing with copyright violations

Oops, I've been guilty of posting images from other websites on here! I thought that since the original website is written in the 'image location' that it would be okay.

Yes, it would be good to know the real rules concerning that.

Re: Stores worth a visit in/around Toronto?

Well that's quite the wish-list! The fish on my wish list are at the opposite end of the spectrum and would all fit into the mouth of one of yours :)) I should be able to get you some native cats in the spring, Flat heads, mudcats etc. The downside is that it would be from our local fishermen. They ...

Re: S.euptera?

Thanks!

From the first inquiries, it sounds like the volunteers at the hospital take care of the tanks. Maybe I've found some volunteer work and someone that would love to take a couple of my extra tanks. I could donate some cory babies and plants and heaters.... :d

S.euptera?

This large fellow is in the ill-equipped tank at the physio centre in a tank with tons of guppies. He's about 7 inches long. Am trying to get hold of the person who takes care of the tank to offer to rehome him when he gets to be too big and to offer to bring a shelter for him. It looks like he trie...

It seems that you have a green/red tiger lotus. Yup, have a few. That's the one I was commenting on when I told you that you will love the scent of the flower. It's heavenly. Botanically, it's in the waterlily family so I call it a lily. But as with common names and fish, sometimes we use different...

I have got 6 julii cories (I am pretty sure that they are true ones) Awesome! We never see them around here. We see everything labeled as them but no such luck. And great rescue job - poor little salty fellows! It's funny that the one cory wants to be with a buddy loach, I have a glass cat that has...

Found the bike - Honda CBR 125R. So I'll stop bugging everyone soon but I really appreciate all your help, It's made me so much more confident about learning. Re: motorbike opinions?

I'll have to look at more dirt bike/street crosses. Just looked at the Suzuki DR200SE. Kind of perfect but with a seat height of 31.9 inches - just a wee too much stretch for me. The honda CBR125 has a higher seat than I'd like but apparently the bike is somewhat skinny so it's doable. Speedwise, Ma...

Thanks MatsP, I've emailed for details and pics. The ad says that parts are hard to find but I've had no trouble finding parts that I randomly picked from the manual. Hi Calicocat, That's going to be one very nice tank! I love those lilies, keep the water nice and they will send up a flower for you at some point. The flowers smell amazing! You said the tank was only running for three weeks? That seems like a very short time to already have fish in there. Are they...

Can't advise on the fish but if you want pink, there's really nice pink granite rocks on the market that would look fabulous on the black sand and could make some nice hidey holes for fish that want a little security.

Hi Viktor, That particular build is commonly referenced at my house: When The Bigger Half grouches about something not done around the house, I always say, "I could build a nice pond for the house..." and it's that spectacular fish-room (!) that he knows I'm referring to. Legendary indeed!...
