S.multis spawning w/o host

My syno. multipunctatus(i know they have new name now) are spawning right now without a host. the egg laying cichlid is right next to them waiting to eat. the mouthbrooding cichlids are at the other side of the tank. i will try to grab a n egg or two. i dont know if i am fast enough.

Re: Tips for breeding Synodontis petricola

Again, i dont know about the real petricolas, but in the lucipinnis all that seems unnecessary. In groups when they are ready, you couldnt stop them from breeding.

Re: Tank size for Microglanis iheringi

they probably wont eat with the lights on. i have 1 or 2 that will come out at 100mph and grab something fast. the rest wont come out at all in daylight.

Re: Tips for breeding Synodontis petricola

I dont know about petricolas, but the luccipinnis eggs hatch very fast and shouldnt need fungus prevention. tumblers should not be necessary either. In my experience the eggs all hatch or none of them hatch.
