Re: FS-smaller por. Ken's premium foods offering mixed packa
Nice Thanks!! No problem my friend. You know what the postman at my local PO said? He told me to get FedEx/UPS boxes that are the same size or close and just use them. I would not use USPS if I could get comparable pricing from any other carriers but I actually checked and for a service that is sim...

I found a dead one this morning. Re: Parotocinclus sp. Nanay Eanea
I think the paler of the four may have succumbed to deaths invite. But iLife can't be sure, only I have not seen the four of them at the same time. I also think that shrimp are a very beneficial inhabitant to a tank. They keep things clean and also a a needed spice of activity as well. I have some p...

Re: Parotocinclus sp. Nanay Eanea
I bet the algae shrimp foods are really good for these fish. While doing some serious research last night I came on a thread on a four that you made back in 07' where there was speculation that these or P.type 3 were perhaps thought to be the fry of L229 I think. It's funny if you Google a subject ...

Re: Parotocinclus sp. Nanay Eanea
Had a busy day at the office so didn't have much time to be on the CPU but I'm extremely happy to report that the 4 that made through the transit were all happily foraging this morning. I have to check my need to constantly feed the tank in hopes of fattening them up more quickly. I have a plethora ...

Re: FS-smaller por. Ken's premium foods offering mixed packa
Man, my fish must be spoiled on NLS; they wouldn't touch this stuff and it turned to mush in the aquariums fast! Even the shrimp went on strike and turned their noses up at it. I have never seen a fish not eagerly devour the sticks from Kens line but I have witnessed my CRS pick trough it like a pi...

Your optimism is very much appreciated Larry. He was slightly wobbly and gilling pretty rapidly compared to the others. I hope hes nice and vibrant (or not) as long as he's kicking. IMO/E if newly acquired fauna lasts the first night you have a pretty good chance of survival. Does anyone know if the...

Yes, I will have a total of 12-15 before I'm done. When I left the iffice the three that were coloring up wonderfully during acclimating were having fun on the IAL litter that I keep in the tank/sponge prefilter on the 2213's intake pipe/GDA on the glass I aquifers by upping the photoperiod by 1.5h ...

Re: Parotocinclus sp. Nanay Eanea
I received my package of Nanays today, unfortunately when I opened it up two were DOA. I instantly took pics of them in the bag, unopened. Then took off the outer bag (they were packed in two bags)and held it in a manner where the DOA's moved to the corner and could be photographed more easily. Then...

Wow those are tiny. Pardon my question as I may be asking a stupid one, but that pic is of a nanay, and not the other type you just received? If so it seems like the nanays are about as big as a juvenile CRS? Also I think they will enjoy my veggie sticks w/ Ca and the spirulina flakes I have. Especi...

The ADA Mini-m mine are going to go in has a few c.habrosus and CRS as well so maybe their constant activity will spur the Nanay's to do the same.

Re: Parotocinclus sp. Nanay Eanea
That really is not good. I have had my fair share of DOA's when receiving fish and 90% of the time the shipper has been great, as I followed all the procedures but I have had a few instances where the seller was completely in the wrong and did not follow their end of the deal. Its unfortunate. Mark ...

I just retread all the message from Anubis designs yahoo group and Mark (the importer/seller) has been keeping them in the low to mid 70's with no losses at all. Seems better the lower the temp can be for o2 reasons.

Does anyone feel that a tank kept at 74-76 would pose a risk to this fish?
