Re: Red tail Catfish

well the bare minimum would have to be around 1300gallons so i doubt an indoor heated pond is an option financially for most.
I'd say move on to another catfish species if you cannot provide the sapce and care for an adult red tail. you should always plan for the adult.
just my opinion.

Re: 40 Gallon Community

Unfortunately i just found the female BN out of the tank this morning. she must have jumped the tank overnight. :( I covered all gaps in the canopy today. there was some outrageously tiny gap and then another one that is 9"*1" long in the back of the canopy. I can't lose another fish like ...

Re: Red tail Catfish

Where are you located? if you're closer to the equator and don't have winter then maybe could make an outdoor pond for this guy. he would truly be happier in a large pond outside with tons of gallons of water and good filtration. more than 5000 gallons should be ok lol. If this fish is in an apartme...

Truly beautiful tank. I like the rubbernose plecos.
I like how this tank shows the beauty of the simplest things like algae and rocks.
Also your photography is pro. what macro lens are you using for these photos?

Re: 60G (228 litres) Cory Tank

Cories are some of my favorite fish and nice tank!
You even have my favorite cory in here, the sterbai. I'm envious because I haven't gotten the chance to keep that species yet. (I've had pygmy and panda cories before.)
Are sterbai easy to breed? any problems with the toxic chemicals they can secrete?

I really like cories and bettas, nice tank!
gorgeous female bettas, black dragons are some of my favorites! (I used to have a yellow fin pearl-white scaled dragon pair myself).
Those spotted catfish are neat :)
As always the cories are awesome!

Re: 40 Gallon Community

Anyone think that a pair of albino BNs (they are only 2" right now) will pose a problem for L260s if I were to get those?

40 Gallon Community

Here is my 40 Gallon Flatback Hex tank. It's rather old, I think more than 20 years since we got it as a present. Recently the silicone has been degrading and we had two leaks but these were patched up with new silicone. unfortunately i wasn't smart enough at the time to use the appropriate color si...

Re: L260 Queen Arabesque Plecos

fry aren't ideal since these would be going into a community tank ,but i did send Sandstone some questions regarding her AB auction. Looks like her plecos are my best option right now. Your wild pair is cool too, but I also prefer tank bred fish which narrows down my options significantly. Hopefully...

Re: Got a spawn!

not a wise idea s both the tiger fish and the plecos will be hurt. i wouldnt want you to lose either fish now. why'd you get a tigerfish if you had no space? rescue? you could get a tub or something and set that up temporarily. it would be lots of room for the tigerfish.

congrads on the spawn btw!

Re: PLECO FRY DYING - NEED SOME HELP PLEASE

if the tank is properly cycled and mature then i would think it had to do with water parameter differences. everything should be the same between this new tank and the old tank where the plecos will be transferred from.

Re: Will plecos's eat aquarium plants?

I've had BN juveniles eat some of my red rubin swords' leaves until they developed holes and ended up all tattered. though the leaves didn't die soon after. the plant kept its leaves until they have run their course. my adult ancistrus don't eat my swords, but when the juvies got hungry...plus they ...
