The tigrinus more so, but they seem to be living fine...no stress. I used to have decorations but there isnt enough room in a 180 to do something to it that looks real cool. The seem to be ok for now though. Also i tried putting decorations in again and both cats got very terrotorial(sp) and my juru...

I dont know what you mean by common..as in the amazon or around your area? There are none in any fish stores around here, also we are keeping the catfish to enjoy, not eating them so what does any of the "bad meat talk" matter? Man you didnt say one nice thing and these cats are very nice!...

awesome fish man! P. Niger are great catfish. I have my tigrinus and juruense together with a black arowana. It is a real sight to see. I am also planning to get a ray. I am a little scared that the ray will be bothered by the catfish though. I wil have to see. Good luck with the new catfish.

They are an awesome catfish, compatable with rays(if at the right sizes),3ft wide tank sounds nice. The tank would most likely be ok for awile but with rays and other fish it might get a little packed. I dont know about your plecos. Im not a pleco person as of now. Yes the Juruense would eat discus ...

Is it healing fine...how is it...if its ok then leave it heal on its own. Also instead of salt you can pick up a product called melafix and use that. Melafix will help it heal faster.

Certain types of juruense have a "better" pattern...they are known as "Flash Juruense" or "Flash Zebra Juruense". I think the pattern depends on what river system they come from. You said some were rocking back and forth on there stomachs...was it their stomach or fins?...
