I think some vals or similar plant in the back corners would look awesome. I can't wait to see the tank grow out and a large shoal of congo tetras.

We called these "jaguar Candiroo" not zebras when we collected them in Columbia. We thought they looked more like jaguar spots.

I think this is how Shane collects fish in SA.

To bring fish back in the USA, you need them inspected by a us fish and game officer. They will normally let you come through with a couple of fish. I would put the both spray bars in vertically not horizontally. I think your Idea of having one of the returns part way could work... but don't forget that the wood and any other thing in the tank will inhibit the flow. I Think I would just put them on opposite ends and lose one of the inline heaters.

I will try and get down there this week and get a picture of the shoal of ottos and some close ups of some of the cats. We are working on getting some cool(odd) cats from S.A. to add to the tank. We will most likely do a direct import.

aim the canister filter return down infront of the powerheads or change it to a spray bar to decrease the surface speed of the water. I have hatchets in my rivertank that do fine.... and I have more current than you do in your tank.

I will post a picture of a 100+ ottos out of a very large tank if I can find the picture.
