stocking levels seem to be the issue of the times for some reason or another. As in your case there are no large species the easy way to tell if you tank is over stocked it to use your water test kits. Ammonia and nitrite should always be zero. The ideal set-up IMO would include 2x bubble sponge filters and when you want to initiate breeding add an extra power filter.
