Re: L114 Info. Suitable for my tank?
You should have no problem with even a couple in that size tank. I have 6 large L114's in a similar sized tank with 3 smaller 4" clowns and a few ABN's. The clowns are for snail control and the ABN's are for algae control. There has only been agression between the male L114's. The fry from the ...

Re: L600 Breeding and Fry
Aaron, It was nice to meet you as well. It is good to finf people with similar interests, such as on this website. As far as food they only seem to like Massivore pellets, carnivore pellets, and frozen krill. They seem to ignore veggies, blood worms, and silversides. I gauge the amount I feed by see...

Re: L114 breeding
Very sorry to hear about your loss. Even so, your success rate is still much higher than any spawn in the wild. Efforts like yours will hopefully lead to less wild needing to be caught stock while still helping hobbiest's enjoy 'nature in abundance.'

Cristoff,
Great photo and nice work keeping so many alive. If all goes well they should look like this in 2 1/2 weeks. Jim

Re: L114 breeding
Cristoffer, are you having good luck raising the fry? I have heard this can be difficult without the right water flow and airation. You also asked a good question about other aquarium spawns.
Janne, how many others have been able to spawn L114's in North America? Obrigado e
boa noite.

Re: L114 breeding
Cristoffer,
Thank you for the info on the cave and your water. Both were very close to my tank. I will keep my tank in the same range and see what happens. Nice family!

Re: L114 breeding
Congrats! It shows that change can be good. After 2 years of trying my group of L114/L600's finally spawned. I put up a post a few weeks ago with some pics. You had better fortune than me. My group spawned while I was in Brazil and when I got home only 2 had survived from 3 males all wanting to rais...

Re: Pseudacanthicus Tips 'n' Tricks
I would agree with Linus. My group of 6 L600's do not touch the green stuff. They love frozen krill and massivore pellets. Even when mine were smalller they were midly agressive and would stay on top of the driftwood even with my plant lights on. Now that they are bigger 7"-12" they fear n...

L600 Breeding and Fry
I have been using Planet Catfish as a reference site for several years and it has finally paid off. I bought 6 L600's 2 years ago when they were 4-6". They are now 7-12". After several attempts they finally had fry. The main problem is the others in the group try to take over the one cave ...
