I think all has been stated in how to get a mature tank, however maybe for the future and for all other readers to helo them, why not just have a small sponge filter in their main tank, then in the event of an emergency, you have a spare filter for a quarantine tank or fry etc. I have at least 2 fil...

also agree with those points above, but some more thoughts. If you are in no rush, I presume you have also a new filter. Connect this to your tank you have now. Wait 2 weeks and then set up your new tank and transfer the new filter accross. Then follow the other steps. I always have a second filter ...
