Pretty much LOL As long as they don't have to compete to much for food so they can continue growing.Psalm18.2 wrote:That simple huh? LOL.Valb68 wrote:When they don't fit in a mouth

Re: What is everyone feeding their Panaques??
Always wood on hand of course, also lots of naturally growing algae in the tanks plus occasional spinach leaf, zucchini if the algae gets beat back. Mine also come out for Kens earthworm sticks, and Repashy Morning Wood

Re: Corydoras Eques
Mine are still in holding in a community tank.......Gotta get them moved to a breeding tank! Its the tank juggling act here :-p Today the zebra danios spawned and spawned...........so the corys in that tank just went crazy chowing down all day, C. Eques included. Happy fat corys :banana-explosion: S...

I think you're right Karsten, from the limited photo you can see the head has a definite round look past the eye even from the 3/4 angle of the shot. Doubt its C. Seussi, although quite a few showed up in the US this year, I snatched up 8 of them myself

Re: LFS had "unamed" cories. What are they!?
Looks like Corydoras sp Black, a manmade black form of the Corydoras, and the second, from the limited shot you've provided, might be a C. Seussi with your description of color, but would need more photos

Re: How can I get my otos to eat prepared foods?
Thanks for writing (*) I wish zucchini would work, but I've never had a fish that would eat it. I'm checking in on pebble farming. Meanwhile, any suggestions on how to get them to accept algae wafers? The only other thing I can think to do is maybe pick up some spinach to blanch. My otos won't eat ...

Re: How can I get my otos to eat prepared foods?
I've had good luck with repashy super green in a feeding dish, they will happily eat the skin off zucchini, there is also some info on this forum about making a pebble farm to grow algae on rocks to later place in aquarium.

Re: 3 corys lost in 2 days (unsure where to post)
Ok, thanks. I did get the water tested at my LFS before I added the new stock, but it certainly can't hurt to get it tested again. Lost another cory today. Testing before you add any fish won't tell you much, except maybe the quality of your tap water. But testing now that fish have been introduced...

Re: 3 corys lost in 2 days (unsure where to post)
Sounds like water quality issue. Did you use any existing gravel or filter media from the tank you upgraded from? The new tank has to cycle, I'm guessing you have someone else feeding your tank while you're out of town? Maybe they overfed and the biological load was too much for your new tank set up...

HI Daph :) I see you are located in the Pacific Northwest, I am located in the Inland Northwest along the Idaho Washington border. Sorry to hear you are struggling with water quality...yuck. Re: Rescued abandoned tank yesterday
I have the fish in my fish room now, and it is adjusting to it's home. I have a couple hides and have dropped in some Repashy and she/he is eating. I am 80% sure it is a Red Devil or Red Devil Midas mix as the body is slowing taking shape and that nice orange color is starting to come in. A lot of ...

Was he able to tell you WHO he got the fish from? So he's actually selling fish as a wild caught species when we all know they were a tank bred black form of C. schultzei........ Just my opinion on this. I personally would never purchase anything from a seller that knowingly sells misrepresented fis...

I ended up with ONE fry LOL It's a nice big healthy active fish living out its fry days in the shrimp tank. Learned my lesson on WHERE they spawn, how fast the eggs fungus and snails EAT eggs........
