Velvet can be treated with malachite green, formalin, copper sulphate, or acriflavine. Not sure which is best, but bear in mind that formalin will wipe out your biological filter, and copper sulphate can be very toxic at low KH. In a tank with lots of bogwood and using rainwater, the pH will naturally drop low. Maybe a few alder cones added would help too.
