I need to identify this catfish from Peru

This looks a lot like Auchenipterus ambyiacus

I keyed it out in the Ferraris and Vari revision as Auchenipterus brachyurus.

If you don't mind me asking: which keys did you use to come to that conclusion (or: where did you look at specifically)?

I already compared it with a specimen of Auchenipterus brachyurus, but it is not, there is remarkable differences.

Marc, I do not have information of Auchenipterus ambyiacus! :(

That's odd. Usually HH is very, very good in ID-ing. Are you sure that your reference (brachyurus) is the genuine species?
