Leporacanthicus Galaxias

Post by husky_jim »

Hi guys....

A few days ago i bought some beautiful Leporacanthicus Galaxias for (hopefully) a feature breeding project.
They are 7 to 12cm TL and the group is 10 fish in total.
Does anyone breed them (or similar spieces)?Any tips?

I know that they have a couple of years to reach maturity but i want to be prepared..... :)

Here they are.......

It was a great deal as they only cost 20euros each!

Hi!

Have a look at L241... there is some breeding information.
They have to be more than 12 cm befor its possible to sex them for sure.

You have some males, and possible females!

Thanks Cristoffer!

I have already read the info about....At what size did yours breed?I know that i have to wait for mine to grow.....

As for the male/female ratio...yes i have some definitely males and we have to wait for the others....but out of 10 i think i have a lot chances to have some females in there.....

Thanks again..

Hi

I have bred them when they where about 10- 12 cm (female). The male where 16- 17 cm.

You would be most unlucky if you didn't have both sexes! But, I think there is good chanses for both sexes.

Regards
Cristoffer
