Re: L114 spawned fist time
Nice! how many fry? Be careful not to provide small caves or pieces of wood. They will all pile in and ones on the bottom ones will suffocate.

Congratulations. The young are stunning. I'll have to increase the current in my tank and try and get something happening.

So what do you suggest for hiding places? Clay pots? A big cave?PseudaSmart wrote:Nice! how many fry? Be careful not to provide small caves or pieces of wood. They will all pile in and ones on the bottom ones will suffocate.

Re: L114 spawned fist time
Linus, thank you VERY much for the question! I must have gotten distracted while typing.
I wanted to say: do not provide pieces of wood WITH small pockets or groves.
I do use wood but it has gentle curves. I also use tube shaped caves that are open on both ends. I am experimenting with other materials but have not found anything for when they are small. They do not like PVC.
Sorry for the confusion.

Re: L114 spawned fist time
Can you tell us something about your water, like temperature and ph at the time of breeding? And the water parameters wright now?
And are the fry with the parents?
How many times do you change the water and how much?
good luck getting them bigger, Walter
