Re: Help Sexing C. Weitzmani
Hi MissNoodle,
They look small to me and I think they need to be fed well and grow a bit to be able to sex reliably. How long have you had them?
Cheers, Eric

All three are over 2 inches and ive had them for months now. They were half the size they were but theyve been done growing for some time now. They are about the same size as a full grown trilineatus

Re: Help Sexing C. Weitzmani
Seeing the pelvic fins of each clearly would be helpful, and an overhead dorsal view of the body of each to better assess girth. But just my own opinion based on these photos, none look like females; they have what I would describe as a youthful appearance, so I'm not convinced I'm right on the sexing.

Re: Help Sexing C. Weitzmani
Normally with the cories i look for differences in the shapes in the same species. Most males tend to stay sleek all over, evenly taper towards the tail. Females get chunky in the middle.bekateen wrote: ↑18 Jan 2020, 00:49 Seeing the pelvic fins of each clearly would be helpful, and an overhead dorsal view of the body of each to better assess girth. All three of these weitzmani are the same shape, and their pelvic fins are the same shape as well. Sort of wedge shaped and angular. But these guys are wiggle butts and dont sit still often for photos like the other species do.
Best i have dorsal view. Theyre handsome fish, id love a full school. Ive just got a full school for my aeneus and hoping that helps because the weitzmani seem to prefer the aeneus over the trilineatus and such.
