These are the pictures from my friend. And this loaches all come from China. I am a Chinese but I cannot identify them. How about you?

There appears to be several species here, but the one with the thin yellow stripes is <i>Botia pulchra</i>, the upside down fish is possibly <i>Leptobotia orientalis</i>, and the uniformly-colored species is possibly <i>Leptobotia tientaiensis</i>.

Hello Marshel,

Have you checked this site http://www.loaches.com/species_index.html/ ? It has lots of pictures, some good reading as well.

I think Botia pulchra is the yellow striped -one, the uniformlly one could also be Leptobotia hengyangensis, the one upside down I have read referred to as Botia (Sinibotia) longiventralis but I'm not sure on any of those names.

Beautiful fish, Marshel! I don't think I've seen any of them alive.
