Does this dorsal fin look okay?

Post by Fred T. Washington »

I took this corydoras trilineatus from quarantine and put it in my main tank today. While reviewing photos of them in their new home I noticed what appears to be a split in one corys dorsal fin.

Am I right? Is there anything I need to do for it? The cat swims fine and I actually have yet to see that split open live. I'm not even sure which fish has it. Like I said, the only way I ever saw it was in the photo.

Should heal by itself - this happens from time to time, and it's no worse to the fish than a broken nail on a human.

Thanks Mats, I wanted to make sure it was no big deal.
