Can someone tell me the sex of my Marmoratus?
Sorry about the water streaks on the glass Just moved house tank got a bit wet lol its clean now
Getting another Marmoratus soon do ideally want one of the opposite sex so can someone tell me what mine is. More pics can be provided on request

It's not very easy to see the front part of the anal fin, but given the size of the fish and the length of the dorsal spine I'd say it's a female.

Based on the above and the anal fin in picture 5 I'd say 95%. It was 8", wasn't it?

Yes hes about 9 inches now I predict Uwwww 95% that's good enough for me. Next question and this might get the answer VERY HARD but if I can find a male to go with her how hard is it to get these fish to breed. Any experience with this mark?

Its a beautiful fish you have there.
To be certain, you need to see that anal, preferably side-on and off the bottom...
If you see a group at Pier, you'll easily see 'le difference'
Its worth hunting through photos of different woodcats in the catelog, check out some of the Tatia species. Males all have the adapted anal fin and when in season the dorsal is longer.
Ageneiosus species have been observed mating in aquaria, but none spawned yet.
