On the contrary with the greens...I have 3 L114"s in with a heteradon and they all fight to get to the veggies I introduce. I don't use greens as a staple, per say, but IMO it aids in digestion and variety is the spice of life...ENJOY

Mine has reached full size in less than 14 months!!
they grow rapidly, mainly carnivore but will eat anything.

I feed a combo of algae wafers and jbl novo pleco.

algae wafers are actually only 3% fibre and largely meat protein.
jbl is extremely majority vege protein.

they grow very fast, not shy at all.

What size tank do you have? How many do you have? Mine went through a growth spurt a couple of months ago, but the rate has slowed down. Mine started at 2-2.5" SL in Jan 2010; today they're at 5-6" SL. (3 in a 75 g tank)

My tank is 1200Litres.
I also have extreme filtration and a wc regime of 120% to 150% a week. depending how much i feed and weather.
During summer i feed more and pump the change up to boost growth and maximise warm weather vs heater expense. but winter is coming (not from game of thrones winter) so i have reduced that to about 120% or so.

i have a auto water changer that trickles so there is absolutely no significant fluctuation of temperature.

mine is not shy, will eat when it wants, tends to gorge for few days, then have a day or two rest froim food and back again.

its definitley full size, if not extremely close. fast growers.
