Panaque ID

Post by MIKESHELEF »

Hello everyone,
I bought this fish today and I'm not really sure of it's identity.
I think it's L418.

First of all; make a pic from the mouth.....
I don't think it's a L418......a juvenile L418 is darker green en has no broken lines.
This is one of my juvenile L418

It could be a panaque cf armbrusteri Rio Araguia.....but for sure you have to make a clear shot from the mouth

Nice fish

How big is it?

I'm a bit confused by this fish.
It's could possibly be Tocantins which I'm leaning towards but with all the different tapajos types poping up it could possibly be tapajos type. I'm pretty sure it's not araguaia unless it's a complete odd ball.

The mouth shot doesn't help try to take a pic of it's mouth in water against the glass or in a container you can see through clearly.
