Hi,
Panaque nigrolineatus was and still is my favourite pleco.I like him because of his colour, his habit to eat wood and because of the funny way he moves. The only problem is that he is agressive and because of this i have given him to a friend so that i can have him back when i set up a really big tank for him.
Liposarcus pardalis is also my favourite pleco. The reason is at my signature. Now he is nearly 10" and keep growing.

I would trade my youngest neice, and left kidney (slightly used) for a pair of zebra pleco. or my right kidney for just one and I'll throw my neice in free!
I support Water Mart!!! You should too!

My gibbi has been my favorite so far. Very hardy and pretty aestheticaly pleasing for a common species.

I would have to go with Ancistrus sp. white seam. I've kept them on several different occasions, and they always seem to get the lions share of my attention.

There are many reasons to have a favorite. I have to say that my favorite would be good old H. plecostomus. It was the first loricariid I ever caught in South America and the one I caught was about 12 inches long. On a strange note, I collected the Rio Tuy almost every weekend for the next two years and never caught another example from that river.

My little Panaque nigrolineatus. Love the colors, the shape and the eyes. He´s so cute, living in his own log, keeping it nice and clean.

My all time favorite is my sailfin. He has a ton of personality and looks great. I have about five other varieties too but they just are kinda boriing, they hide and don't do much. Salty the sailfin goes charging across the tank fins a flailing away chasing goldfish and giving me "the eye".
