Corydoras from"elegans" complex, but which?

Post by niller-find »

Hello
First of all, this is a fantastic site and forum  I'm really impressed.
I am new on this site and this is my first topic, so be nice, please.

I recently bought 11 wildcaught Corydoras from my local fishstore, 7 males and 4 females. He had ordered them home as C. elegans, but he told my that they are obviously not, but endeed from the "elegans" complex. He also told me thet they are from Peru, and that's my second clue.

I was wondering if somebody on this site could help me identify this fish.

Some pictures showing the mentioned fish.
I hope this works!

Nice fish! I am not an expert by any means, but I think they might be napoensis. Whatever they are, they are really cool!

Thank's for fast an serious replys.
I think Napoensis looks a bit too elongated... But it could be my fish that are fat
But I belive, I have found the right cory, notice the yellow color on the fins.

My fish have that too!

The pictures from your album cannot be hotlinked. The best you can do is post a link to the url.

Ok, I have talked to Finn from AquaZoo on a couple of occasions, though I've never gotten any fish from him. He e-mailes me a pic of his "ornatus" wich are in fact C-141, but they are very nice!

Hi Kim
Yes he told my that it wasn't the "real Ornatus", it also had way to many spots, but indeed a nice fish! And Finn is also a nice man, he told me a lot about his buisness .
