L260 or L066?

Post by dlrzrwlf »

This was sold as a Queen Arabesque but doesn't seem to match the color scheme. He was a little stressed in the pic from turning on the lights.

It appears to indeed be a Queen Arabesque; they are such a common species that they are rarely confused with anything else by fish distributors.

Get some more photos once the fish settles down though, just to make sure.

Q: How tall is Cartman in real life?

A: Well, Cartman doesn't exist in real life, but if he did he'd be two feet tall.

Hi!

Do you have its size?
Look very similar to what Kevin show us, just slightly different...

Cheers

I'm pretty sure that's an L066. But if it was healed I can clearly tell you. Give it a week or so and post another picture.

He is about 3 inches long at the moment. Also, he is not injured, this is his natural coloration when he gets really exited all the stripes go bright white just like the areas on his tail. This is why I suggested that he might be a hybrid?

Thanks

It doesn't look anything like my QA, but I guess I'm out voted.

Ok!

if it is he night coloration, that explain... a day pic would have been more helpful...
Ok then it is a L260!
@Laura: I am pretty sure you have a new species that is yet to have a L-number... but belongs to the genus Hypancsitrus (sensu lato)...
cheers

I am posting 5 pictures today within a few hours. These plecos are beautiful. I will start a new thread here. They are a Hypancistrus and have bred once, 3 are 3-3.5 inches and 1 is 2.75 inches.
