help? i have no clue

Post by igol66 »

Hi,

I need some help. I have recently bred two BN plecos. The fry are currently just under a CM. However, the male is still in the breeding cave and it looks like a long 'marble' is stuck to the top?

These 'marbles' seem to be stuck to the top of the cave, and when he moves around in the cave the 'marble' stays in place. I say marble because it is one long shiny thing.

I just don't know what this is.

Thanks

I have no clue either. A photo would be useful. Are you sure it's not an airbubble?

The eggs that the male guards are yellow or orange.

I agree with MatsP,i also think it could be a air bubble. In some of the cave that i keep my Plecs there is sometime air bubble inside the top of the cave that is silver in color too.
Try moving the cave and the bubble should come out.

...or perhaps a clump of pond snail eggs? A small clear gelatinous mass, maybe with some smaller opaque pieces inside...
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
