air pump problems

Post by RIPbiglad »

I have a Hailea ACO-9610 pump with four outlets on it. One of the outlets has far less power coming out of it. All four have a double tap on them but this one only seems to have enough to work one device.

Any Ideas?

If it's anything like the four-outlet one I've got, it's got a diahragm per outlet, and a short piece of air-hose between the actual pump and the outlet. Either the diafragm or the hose can cause leaks leading to reduced pump output. Try dismantling and outer casing and check those bits. Airpumps are terribly simple machines, so it's most likely something simple...

would the diahragm be a universal product or would I need to but hailea ones?

They are usually specific to the type of pump, I'm afraid.
