The pic doesn't help much, but I have to disagree based on the head shape in the first pic. To me it looks female. Regardless, it's not getting enough to eat. I would likely blame the tankmates in the background.

For the sake of the fish, it should probably be moved to another tank. However, if that's not possible, I've spot fed a couple of fish over the years using a medicine syringe and airline tubing. Simply suck up a couple pieces of frozen food and place them directly in/adjacent to the fish's hiding spot (preferably where the cichlids can't get to it). I know this works for the less dominant fish in groups, but may just draw the cichlids to her doorstep and cause an increase in aggression against the pleco as they go looking for the food.

Damn, should have answered after Larry. :) I was also looking at the head and wondered that I can't see any hair, even though the rest of the body was so triangle shaped.

Never thought they could get so skinny that they lose their bottom. :(

Thanks guys, i was aware of the chance of the pleco not getting enough food but I gave it a shot and put it in my SHOW tank in my living room, their just so pretty I wanna see em all the time!!! Anyways i took him out and put him in a zebra pleco only tank, I wanna start breeding them thats why I was asking about the sex, thanks again!!!!!!!
