To me this looks a Hypostomus of some sort but narrowing that from the list of brown and spotted is no small endeavor... I don't suppose you have any info on where it was collected?
I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

It's probably
Hypostomus plecostomoides
but without location information it's very hard to be sure.
