Actually, it is he reverse. There are lots of books on l-numbers but not so on the subjects of volume 1. There thinking being that Ingo's Back to Nature book rather filled the gap the larger book would. If not filled, then significantly dented sales at least.

As had been said before, but people have not been reading the whole thread, it has been translated, but is too big for publication in one book.

Yes Jools, that makes sense :) There certainly is a lot of good sources on the subject already, a.o. this very site. And Ingo has quite a few books out by now...Good thing I can read German quite well then :)

Maybe if we can get loads of people on the site who would purchase the book in English (even in more than 1 volume) to email Mergus maybe it would persuade them there is a market?

I agree. Or even better, if we could find out from Mergus how much they needed to not make a loss, then rustle up that number...

Sounds good. Perhaps as owner and ambassador for the site you would be best to make the representation Jools?

Owner, yes. Ambassador? Hmmm. Makes me think of cheap chocolates.

Anyway, will ask Hans & Ingo in November when I see them and I am certain Mats will remind me!

Sitting in a room with Ingo, there are no plans (and some obstacles) to publishing the English version.

At risk of excessively repeating myself, I would definitely recommend people just buy the German version. It's worth it for the photos alone.

You can glean a lot of information from it, even without knowing any German, but with technology such as the Google Translate app, you can now translate from a photo of the text on your phone or tablet. Not a perfect translation, but you get the general idea.
