Platydoras and young corydoras: possible ?
Hello,
following a problem on the aquarium of my Platydoras armatulus, I will have to move it to another tank. The main question arises at the level of cohabitation.
I have another tank of the same size in which there are currently a hundred young Corydoras which measure between 2 and 4 cm.
If I put the Platydoras in this bin, will he eat it?
I don't mind if he eats a few of them, but he mustn't decimate my population either. Corydoras having thorns on their pectoral fins, I also don't want to find my dead Platydoras with a corydoras across his throat.
Its former owner never made it live with this kind of fish. He is currently with young ancistrus of 4 cm and I do not believe he has eaten any.
Is this risky in your opinion?

What size is the ? In my opinion, it won't eat 2cm corys, they have relative-to-body-size small mouths and they live with Corys in nature and so should know not to try to eat them - but the bigger it is the riskier.

It measures a little over 17 cm, hence my doubts ...

So, it's not a big one - I'd still be Ok if it were me. By all means, ask for a second opinion. But they are lazy eaters, if it's well fed it won't even think about it and even at that size (SL? TL?) I don't think it's mouth would get around a cory.

This is TL size.
She is a well-fed female (who should perhaps go on a diet by the way) so there is indeed little change that she touches there but I preferred to be sure before trying it.
