Don't really know where to put this - site question

Post by Cheese Specialist »

Hello,

I have been using PC for a wee while and I use it as reference when telling people off for having a common pl*c in a 5gall goldfish tank. LOL

Anyway, when I do my good for the catfish community I use this site's cat-eLong as reference and I would like to be able to give them a link to specific species pages but when I try it just takes them to the homepage. I access the cat-eLog by clicking it on the top banner and going to 'common name'.

Are we not allowed to link people to the site or am I being dumb?

Thanks.

The Cat-e-log uses frames, so what;s happening is you're linking to the top frame and not the one you want. Not sure how to do this in MSIE, but a right click on the frame you want should allow you to open it in a new window. The address can then be copied from there.

Cheers Rusty,

That worked a treat!! I knew I had done it before so I didn't think it was that the site didn't allow it! I mean, why wouldn't they?!

You can also hold down shift when clicking on a link and it will open that in a new window. All said though, the easiest way to send this is to click on the "send to a friend" link on each and every cat-elog page.

You can even send to yourself to see how it works!
