Behaviour | Spawned after cold water change temperatures are normally around 76f, but, water change with straight cold water brings temperatures to about 72f.
Spawning activity occurs generally the next morning and continues throughout the day.
Males chase females relentlessly while spawning; eggs adhered to intake of HOB filter and corners by sponge filter. Spawning was typical Cory "T" behavior, although several fish seemed to take part and the female or females don't seem to be picky on which males fertilize. |
Segregation | Eggs are moved to small plastic tote with parent tank water and 5 drops of Meth blue, air is provided by 4 air stones at each corner to keep eggs circulating. babies are moved to a 55 gallon grown out tank when aprox 1/4" |
