Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Saturday 12th of January 2019. The breeding group consisted of 1 male and 1 female. The smallest male was at least 220mm SL and the smallest female was at least 210mm SL. The individuals were obtained from Countryside aquatics.

Down Breeding
Behaviour Male and female avoided each other until she was extremely gravid. Then the male started caving alot. Female started to show signs of trapping 2 weeks prior to spawning. Eggs There were 300 golden/yellow eggs laid which were 0.6mm in diameter.

Segregation I took the eggs on day 7 after some had hatched on day 6. The tank they spawned is a community tank with quite afew pleco including 3xl24 so i didnt want the young to be eaten or dad to be attacked trying to defend the fry. https://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=47286
