Down Breeding
Behaviour Spawning not observed. But two days before spawn, Male observed trapping a female in small 1" diameter cave. At 11:45 PM on day of spawn, make discovered guarding eggs
Eggs
Time to hatch 5 days
Number: 0
Free swimming: 0 days
Segregation Eggs left with dad. Within 24 hours of spawning, the male either lost his eggs or kicked them out of the cave. Several eggs in the egg mass look solid yellow (like a cooked egg yolk) and were obviously bad. The eggs were then placed in a fry basket with an airstone. By day 5 of incubation, only 3 viable-looking eggs remained, although I don't see eyes or bodies in the eggs. If they are good, they should hatch today or tomorrow.
