Overview | The first spawn was on Sunday 26th of April 2020. The breeding group consisted of 3 males and 4 females. The smallest male was at least 110mm SL and the smallest female was at least 90mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 2 months old. The individuals were obtained from Tropical World Pets in St Louis, Missouri. |

Dimensions | The aquarium dimensions were 1219mm x 457mm x 610mm (48" x 18" x 24") all Length x Width x Height. |
Furniture | A few caves and pieces of wood. Sparse. bare bottom. Not too much in this tank honestly. There are a few pothos ivy plants growing out of the water. |
Filtration | Two external whispers 60 filters. |
Lighting | Medium, single strip, on a time. |
Heating | Yes 82 degrees with a single 200watt eheim submersible heater. |
Breeding |
Behaviour | Typical cave trapping, although I did lose a female or two, due to aggressive trapping by the male. |
Eggs | There were 40 eggs laid which were 0.0mm in diameter. |

Segregation | Fry were taken from father a day after hatching, and further incubated in a hanging fry container. |

Fry and juvenile feeding | In picture above, you can see the fry along with some Wabenmuster and Schneeflocke fry, as well as some platys, eating some Repashy gel mix, that I typically use (a combination of Morning Wood, Meat Pie, Bottom Scratcher and the Spirulina mix). |
