Overview | The first spawn was on Monday 15th of February 2021. The breeding group consisted of 2 males and 4 females. The smallest male was at least 75mm SL and the smallest female was at least 90mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 18 months old. The individuals were obtained from Purchased on Aquabid.. |

Breeding |
Behaviour | Female lays egg mass in spawning mops. Eggs where in a group similar to "frog spawn". Approx 40 eggs laid. |
Eggs | There were 40 eggs laid which were 0.0mm in diameter. |
Time to hatch | 4 days Number: 40 Free swimming: 8 days |
Segregation | I removed the eggs and hatched them in a specimen container, raised fry in the container for 3 weeks and then moved fry to 10G tank.
New eggs laid every 2-3 weeks, unsure if same female or different. |

Fry and juvenile feeding | Fry feed off the surface and are nocturnal. Fed on Azoo Artificial Artemia, and other very small floating food. |
