Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Sunday 23rd of April 2023. The breeding group consisted of 1 male and 1 female. Additionally, there were 1 unknown individual present. The individuals were obtained from Wild caught in creek of Rio Blanco, Peru.
Further spawns Thursday 4th of May 2023, Sunday 14th of May 2023, Monday 22nd of May 2023, Sunday 28th of May 2023, Thursday 1st of June 2023, Monday 24th of July 2023, Thursday 22nd of February 2024. 7 in total.

Other Water Params 50-50 mix of tapwater and RO water, treated with Aqua vitro alpha to dechlorinate.

Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 508mm x 279mm x 305mm (20" x 11" x 12") all Length x Width x Height.

Heating Fluval E series 100 watt set to 78F.
Down Breeding
Behaviour Not observed. I left town for three days and the eggs were discovered in the egg-catcher. Most eggs are fungused. On 5/14, three eggs were found in the egg catcher.
Eggs There were 150 pale amber eggs laid which were 1.0mm in diameter.
Segregation I moved the eggs to a Fluval Hang on breeder box. I treated them with methylene blue.

Fry and juvenile feeding The eggs did not hatch following the second spawn. :-(
