Breeding |
Behaviour | Parents are active and spawning for the past three months. Often a female will jet around to get the mails attention. Eggs laid on glass near plants, back wall, in the moss. Spawns are in trio of two males to a female, one egg at a time. Often find 10-12 eggs daily.
After a long break we have spawning! 15 eggs plus in the past three days! |
Segregation | Not segregated. Have seen parents eat the tiny fry so added more hiding places. They do not eat the eggs. Attempts to grow out eggs to fry in a separate tank failed. Breeding net, failed. |
