Overview | The first spawn was on Friday 2nd of November 2012. The breeding group consisted of 1 male and 1 female. The smallest male was at least 95mm SL and the smallest female was at least 85mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 3 months old. The individuals were obtained from GCCA auction. | |||

Behaviour | You can see the female fill up with eggs at which point the male tries to guide her into the cave. I was able to save two fry which were found while changing setups. Parents were left with the fry which were 1" when they were found in the tank hiding behind the sponge filter. | |||

The parents then spent most of their time in the cave for the next two weeks. The third batch were observed one morning after the parents were seen out of the cave. | |||
