Overview | The first spawn was on Monday 7th of April 2014. The breeding group consisted of 1 male and 1 female. The smallest male was at least 116mm SL and the smallest female was at least 110mm SL. The individuals were obtained from Aquatic Clarity Import. |

Behaviour | Male trapped the female for 6 days before eggs were dopisited |

Segregation | Spawn one: Male was left undisturbed to rear the eggs. Fry eaten by Male L180.

Fry and juvenile feeding | Once egg sac was consumes fry were fed the same pellet mixture offered to the adults.
Fry are very sensitive to water quality, developmental deformities in the pectoral fins were found shortly after returning from a trip when water changes were neglected. |
