Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Saturday 18th of July 2015. The breeding group consisted of 4 males and 2 females. The individuals were obtained from Wild Import - Aquatics Unlimited - Milwaukee, WI.

Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 516mm x 267mm x 325mm (20.3" x 10.5" x 12.8") all Length x Width x Height.
Furniture Matten filter, green acrylic yarn mop, 1 small piece of drifwood, 1 sponge filter and lots of java moss.
Filtration Matten filter and large sponge filter.
Lighting Rack lighting 30 watt florescent.
Heating Room temperature, no internal heating devices.
Down Breeding
Behaviour Males aggressive with each other and chasing the large female in typical fashion. Only difference was this time I found some eggs! :)
Eggs There were 12 clear eggs laid which were 1.5mm in diameter.
Segregation Eggs were removed to small specimen container with tank water moderate air stone aeration and 1 alder cone. The alder cone was removed after 24 hours and 50% water changes were carried out on the container using tank water daily after that.
