Quickly settled down as relatively small, 4 of unknown sex, grew very fast, making huge mess of bogwood. When fed them whole cuccumber in the night, alongisde with rest of plecos it the tank - there was nothing left the next morning. My sis called them slugs - they reminded her the one's she had in the garden :) Left in Dec for holiday and left the tank in care with mom. How she managed to kill one by one it remains the mistery to me. When came back, found 2 dead. Within next week another 2 died. No infection or any disease found on any other fish. Another explanation could be that due to huge mess they create, the filter slowed down and did not produced good flow (although the filter's capacity in normal circumstances is for tanks over three times the size of mine). Very lovely fish. Will have them in the future for sure. If kept more than 2 with bogwood I highly recommend huge tank with sump tank and not a filter as non can be sufficient enough to clean the water - unless you want keep constant water changes and cleaning the filter more often you clean your teeth :)" |
