|Type Locality||Hill stream running into the Nu River, near Laowo, Yunlong Xian, [now Lushi County, Nujiang Prefecture], Yunnan Province, China.|
|Size||153mm or 6" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.|
|Identification||Continuous post-labial groove, gill openings not extending onto venter, heterodont dentition (different types of teeth) in both jaws. The outer teeth are shovel-shaped and sparsely arranged in one or two rows whilst the inner teeth are conical and numerous. The tooth patches are separated in the upper jaw. 16–18 branched pectoral rays.|
|Distribution||Asia: known only from the middle and lower Nujiangn(=Salween) basin, China.
