Common Name
Type Locality Coxilha, rio Butiá na Granja, Tagliari, afluente do rio Passo Fundo, entre Rios, ca 28°05;'S, 52°28'W, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil.
Pronunciation rhine lor ee kar ee ah.
Etymology Greek, rhinos = nose + Latin, lorica, loricare = cuirass of corslet of leather. This specific epithet is named for a local legend where Anhaguapita (the Devil) and Saint Peter confront each other.
