Etymology	(Latin)Scobis=Sawdust + (Greek)agkistron=hook.
Species Information
Size	350mm or 13.8" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	By having a good look at its teeth, the number of which is extremely reduced, it is safe to say that this species is a member of the genus Scobinancistrus. The Scobinancistrus species known so far are from the southern clear water tributaries of the Amazon in northeastern Brazil.
Sexing	Males in good condition have odontodes on rear part of the body and pectoral fins.

Feeding	Primarily a carnivore, the reduced set of teeth in this fishes mouth don't make much impact on algae etc. Feed chopped mussel, bloodworm and flake food in tablet form. User data.
