Scientific Name Helogenes castaneus  (Dahl, 1960)
Common Name
Type Locality Small pond in a brook tributary to Río Guayabero, about 1 kilometer from mouth of the brook, Orinoco System, Colombia.
Synonym(s) Leyvaichthys castaneus
Pronunciation hell LODGE en ease
Etymology Helogenes: From the Greek helos, meaning marsh and the Greek genes, meaning birth; in reference to the habitat.
