|Named for Dr. Bocage, a former Director of the Zoological Section of the Museum of Natural History of Lisbon, Portugal.
|240mm or 9.4" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
|In alcohol, light brown above, lateral and ventral sides paler, a silvery whilte tinge along the lateral line and above the anal fin, base of caudal fin brown, anal fin with an inconspicuous median longitudinal streak on its entior length, a large dark blotch above the pectoral finwhere the swimming-bladder comes close under the skin.
|Africa: lower Quanza River and Bengo River in Angola.

|Unreported in the aquarium. In nature, oviparous; eggs are unguarded. For many species, reproduction takes place during the rainy season.
