Type Locality Lake Bangwelu, Zambia.

Etymology Referring to the type locality of the species, Lake Bangweulu.

Identification .

In alcohol back and head brownish,sides silvery or light brownish, sometimes irregularly stained, the pectoral, dorsal and pelvic fins are often brown or black brownish, anal fin often with a dark border.
General Remarks It is very possible the size is much bigger than stated above.590 mm TL is also stated.
