Identification | Clearly ancistrine, males of this species exhibit strong odontodal growth on the last 3rd of its leading pectoral fin rays. Often labelled as Panaque species, this mid sized species puts the author more in mind of Baryancistrus niveatus (=L026). Normally dark grey with white spots although an all white colour variant (xanthorist) has been imported. |
