Scientific Name Trichomycterus romeroi  (Fowler, 1941)
Common Name
Type Locality Honda, Colombia.
Synonym(s) Pygidium romeroi
Etymology Trichomycterus: From the Greek trichos, meaning hair and mykter, meaning nose; in reference to the barbels. The specific epithet, romeroi, is named after Senor Augusto Romero Padilla, Cundinamarca Department, Colombia.
